The stainless steel 3.85mm Pilot Drill with tri-spade pointed tip is designed to initiate the osteotomy through the dense cortical bone. It is recommended to use the Flattening Drill prior to the Pilot Drill and start the dental implant osteotomy site preparation with the Pilot Drill.
Caution: When the Pilot Drill becomes dull it should be replaced to prevent sequential depth stop drills from becoming dull.
