Advantages, Protocol, and Maintenance: 3.9 mm Depth Stop Drill Manual

The stainless steel 3.85 mm Pilot Drill with tri-spade pointed tip is designed to initiate the osteotomy through the dense cortical bone. It is recommended (not always necessary) to use the Flattening Drill prior to the Pilot Drill if the crest is sharp or slanted and start the dental implant osteotomy site preparation with the Pilot Drill.

Caution: When the Pilot Drill becomes dull it should be replaced to prevent sequential depth stop drills from becoming dull.
