The Magnetic Guide Post (MGP) contains a magnet which attracts the open guide sleeve and holds it in place while the template is being made. This post is made to work with both the 4 mm x 5 mm open guide sleeve and the 4 mm x 8 mm open guide sleeve.

The Magnetic  Guide Post Generation II shafts are designed with 4 flat surfaces (representing mesial, distal, buccal, and lingual surfaces) configured 90 degrees apart, for the purpose of tightly securing the post in the Guide Right (TM) Generation II Bending Plate when bending the offset guide post.
