Ceramic is recommended for CT scans and/or cone beam X-Ray machines in order to avoid the X-Ray scatter that often occurs while using metal. The stainless guide post for ceramic sleeves is used to orient the guide sleeve to the axis of the hole which has been drilled in the cast. The ceramic guide sleeve is placed over the guide post while Triad (R) gel is applied and cured to form the body of the template.
