The Insert Removal Tool (IRT) is requred to pus the insert out of the guide sleeve. This tool is a one-size-fits-all, and can be used with all insert sizes.

Guide sleeve inserts are pressed down into a sleeve to obtain a press-fit to prevent inserts from spinning while drilling. The surgeon (or assistant) will need to use the IRT to release the insert before placing the next larger size insert in a multi-drill sequence.
